The DVD player might be collecting dust on the TV stands these days now with the onset of digital programming, streaming videos and online rental companies such as Netflix. For this post, I prepared a tetrad of reflections on how and why the DVD player was an emerging technology.

ReplyDeleteYour tetrad is great. I forgot about the DVR and Netflix as possible replacements. You mentioned online movie viewing and that is also coming true with sites like HULU.

ReplyDeleteHolographic teleconferencing has great potential for instruction; therefore, I hope educators welcome this new technology. The hologram would be an excellent tool for educating children by exposing them to professionals and public figures in all walks of life. I believe holograms are similar to virtual field trips.
